State police officials reported that between Friday at midnight and Saturday at 3 p.m. there have been a total of 28 accidents, 7 DUI arrests and 100 speeding tickets issued on state highways.
There were eight injuries caused by accidents but no fatalities. Police also issues nine seatbelt and hazardous moving arrests--including seatbelt use.
Police ask motorists to excercise caution during the New Year's holiday weekend.
